One of the things I love about Franklin Plaza is the variety it gives us for photographs. The architecture creates a polished, timeless look, while the surrounding downtown Troy setting gives us opportunities for portraits that feel more urban and editorial.

My approach throughout the day is a combination of gently guided portraits and candid storytelling. I’ll step in when posing and direction are helpful, but I’m also constantly watching for the unscripted moments happening around you.

The Reception

Once the formalities are over, the energy changes completely. Toasts, first dances, family reactions, and a packed dance floor are some of my favorite parts of a wedding day to photograph.

Rather than interrupting the celebration, I work around it — capturing the atmosphere, the people you love, and all the moments you may not even realize are happening.
