Your wedding day moves quickly, and good coverage is about more than photographing the ceremony and portraits. I document the full story of the day: candid moments, family, details, reception, and everything in between while keeping the experience relaxed and organized.
For larger weddings or longer days, coverage can be planned around the parts of the day that matter most, from getting ready through the reception.

Engagement & Surprise Proposal Photography
Engagement sessions and surprise proposals are carefully planned from the start. Lana will help with location ideas, timing, lighting, posing, and the details that make the session feel natural and personal.
For surprise proposals, we'll plan everything in advance so you know exactly where to be and when. When needed, Lana can blend into the surroundings as a tourist, passerby, or casual bystander so your partner has no idea a photographer is waiting nearby. Once the surprise is revealed, we'll continue with a relaxed engagement portrait session to capture the excitement afterward.

How many hours of wedding photography do I need?
It depends on how much of the day you want documented and how many guests you will have in attendance. Shorter coverage may be enough for the ceremony, portraits, and part of the reception, while full-day coverage can include getting ready, first look, ceremony, family portraits, reception, and major events throughout the evening. And a second shooter may be needed if you have large party, needing coverage in separate locations simultaneously, or both!
Do you photograph candid moments as well as posed portraits?
Yes. I photograph both and pride myself on posing people. You’ll get the important family and wedding-party portraits, but I also focus heavily on candid moments, reactions, and interactions throughout the day.
Do you photograph weddings throughout the Capital Region and Upstate New York?
Yes. I photograph weddings throughout Albany, Troy, Saratoga Springs, the Capital Region, the Catskills, and other locations across Upstate New York. Travel is available for weddings outside the immediate area.
Can you help create a photography timeline for the wedding day?
100%. I help couples plan the photography portion of the timeline so there is enough time for portraits, family photos, and important moments without making the day feel rushed. It's really one of the most important prep steps I help you with.
